It is also useful for the symptoms of PMS as well as menopause. Marshmallow rt. (Althaea officinalis): Is useful for inflammation and irritation in the pelvic region. Ginger root (Zingiber officinale): (You add to the blend) Ginger acts as a stimulant and warming agent. I find it best to use the fresh root, as the dried root changes itís energy from warm to HOT. The taste will be very different. Licorice rt. (Glycyrrhiza uralensis): Harmonizes the action of the herbs.
